I have really been enjoying the political banter this year. I have found both the GOP and DNC speeches and activities to be very intriguing. I take particular delight in watching Jon Stewart's critique on it all.
But alas, I must admit, I am a disgruntled voter. Above all I am a pro-life Catholic. That means that I want a candidate that is anti-abortion, anti-war, pro preferential option for the poor, anti nukes, pro health care reform (health care is a basic human right) - need I go on?? I found an article on America's blog that discusses this point well: 6 Thoughts Before the Election
It is ok to admit that Catholics will never be properly represented. I refuse to settle. Again, I will write in St. Francis.
